MAS Adventure Camp 2011 by Mira Munshee - Day 4

Day 4 – 23 Nov 2011

It was our second last day at the camp, we woke up early, like always and it was raining. Bliss from heaven. We performed our Subuh prayers with Ustaz and the rest. Because it was raining, we continued with ‘Ceramah Kerjaya’ first before continuing with yesterday’s activity. This slot was handled by Cikgu Salleh. He is one of MAS cabin crew, like Cikgu Hafiz. But he is more senior and more experienced. He told us everything about MAS’s crew, how to be a stewardess/steward, how to talk like them, how to groom like them. Foremost, he gave out informational talks and I learnt a lot from him. Cikgu Hafiz wore his steward uniform and he looked rather dashing in it. Now I know, being a steward is a serious work and it is not as easy it would be, although we will get lots of benefits from it, like travelling around the world and visits other countries. After we finished with the slot, we were given time to prepared for Zohor and Asar prayers and after that, we were sent off to continued to finish all yesterday’s activities, ‘river crossing’ and ‘abselling’. It was my turn to do the ‘abselling’ and yes, I was extremely nervous and terrified, mostly because of the height. Cikgu Fuad gave some encouragements and yes, I did it. I overcome my fear of height, Alhamdulillah :D After everyone was done with ‘abselling’, teachers informed us to changed clothes for ‘water games’. Everyone were pretty much excited. We played games by the river, three groups, we have to fill in the holey barrels with water till the ball comes out. It was tricky because first, there’s holes everywhere around the barrel! And second, the teachers splashed and threw water at us every single second. It was hard and not a group succeed. After the game finished, we had some real fun and we played ‘water war’ in the river. Water splashing everywhere, everyone was trying to get revenge from the teachers. It went on for like 10 minutes and then Cikgu Fuad asked us to stopped and changed clothes. We prepared early because tonight was our ‘Performance Night’. We had dinner and performed Magrib and Isyak prayers, we gathered at the hall. Cikgu Sallleh was given the honor to be the emcee for tonight’s event. He was a great emcee by the way. Each group were given a task to perform a drama based on what the teachers had asked to. Alongside with our performances, the teachers also did some sketchs. They acted on stage, mostly based on US. They tried to resembled what we did, what we are throughout the camp. Honestly, those were the best performances ever. Cikgu Burhan made a great actor and well the rest of the teachers, they made me tears because I was laughing non stop. But of course, everything have to come to an end. We did prize giving ceremony and lastly, all the teachers went on stage and they recited a few of their speeches. Their speeches touched our hearts, especially Cikgu Shuhaimi, Cikgu Hafiz, Cikgu Elma and of course, Cikgu Paan’s. Cikgu Paan cried while he was singing. He had to stop singing because he can’t control his emotions. That made me cried harder. At that time, we all know, we never wanted to leave the camp. But everything has it ends. And that night was the end of our great memories together.
