MAS Adventure Camp 2011 by Mira Munshee - Day 5

Day 5 – 24 Nov 2011

It was our last day. We woke up a little bit late, just to enjoyed the few last hours in the camp. We packed our bags, cleaned out the tent and went to the hall to performed Subuh prayers. After that, we had our last breakfast together. We were told we will be leaving at 10 am. After breakfast, Cikgu Fuad called us and taught us how to take off the tent. He did a demo and well, it was easy, much more easier compared to putting up the tent. We worked as a team, and finally, finished taking off the tent, wrapped it and put it in its bag. We collected rubbish around the campsite, cleaned everything that needs to be clean and last, we gathered at the dataran for some last photoshoot together. This time, we are going back to KL with bus. So two buses waited for us outside the camp, and we waved the last goodbyes to Ulu Kenas, Kuala Kangsar. The girls are in the same bus, accompanied by Cikgu Elma, Cikgu Amie, Cikgu Burhan and Cikgu Hafidz. First, we stopped at Masjid Ubudiah which was at the centre of Pekan Kuala Kangsar. We took a lot of pictures together and then we moved to our next destination, which was a row of stores that sell ‘labu sayong’. ‘Labu sayung’ are probably Kuala Kangsar’s proudest trademark. We did some shopping and then we started with our journey. In the girls’s bus, we watched ‘Van Helsing’, half of the movie, everyone were asleep and we woke up when we arrived at Tapah for lunch and Zohor prayers, that was around 2.15 pm. After lunch, we continued our journey to Kuala Lumpur and finally, reached KL around 5.40 pm. The parents were waiting at KL Sentral and everyone is glad they are back, one piece, safe and sound and with lots of experiences and knowledges that can be use in the future. We gained tons of new things, new friends and we came back with a whole new person. Thank you MAS Backpackers Kembara Club, thank you MAS Airlines and thank you MAC 2011. This is indeed one of the experience I will never forget and I will cherish it forever.
